McLeod For Tomorrow Leadership Program is a 9-month professional development opportunity offered locally by McLeod For Tomorrow in partnership with University of Minnesota Extension. Program participants dive deep into relevant leadership topics and take exclusive tours of communities in McLeod County. Each program day consists of two parts: The first half focuses on leadership development with curriculum led by Extension educators, and the second half focuses on developing knowledge of the community assets located right here in McLeod County. Even though anyone who lives or works in McLeod County can participate in the program, it is limited to just 24 participants, and applicants are selected to ensure there is a diverse group of people from various communities, industries and demographics. The program started in McLeod County in 2007 and has over 265 graduates. Attendees go back to work with new ideas, a better understanding of their county and community and expanded connections.
I know that we would get the return on investment if I attended McLeod for Tomorrow’s Leadership Program! I am ready to put my personal and professional leadership skills to work, not only here at my place of employment, but in my community. University of Minnesota Extension research has even shown that for every $1 spent with McLeod for Tomorrow, $6.70 is invested in McLeod County. The cost to attend the McLeod For Tomorrow Leadership Program is $550, which is just $55 for each of the 10 sessions. This cost includes the training, site tours, lunches, networking and more.
