McLeod for Tomorrow is a community-driven non-profit that has been operating since 2007 in McLeod County. Our focus is on countywide leadership development that offers community members an opportunity to network, develop leadership skills, and discover and appreciate the assets of McLeod County.
Bridging Communities through Leadership
The McLeod for Tomorrow Leadership Program “bridges” people together who come from different industries and communities within McLeod County. The nine-month program is hosted locally in different towns across McLeod County and facilitated by the University of Minnesota Extension. For one day each month, participants go deep on a leadership topic and tour a different business or organization. We believe that when leaders connect with other people and businesses outside their normal circle, innovation is sparked and leaders emerge. We aim to develop a greater awareness of community, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future of McLeod County.
McLeod for Tomorrow Impacts You
Over 265 local leaders have graduated from the McLeod for Tomorrow program, and many are now involved with local boards, businesses, nonprofits, committees, and government. Even if you haven’t been through the McLeod for Tomorrow leadership program, it’s impacted your family’s work, school, or life in some way. This leadership experience creates a desire to do more in our communities that extends beyond just the attendees and where they live. McLeod for Tomorrow impacts all people and businesses in McLeod County through civic engagement, economic impacts, volunteering, and sharing learned leadership skills while having fun.
